Publisher Homework

For this poster, I chose the color blue and yellow because it go together very well and it is very childish which fit the audience of this poster. The colors are also the colors of the main character in this movie. I put the name of the main actors and actresses on the bottom. I couldn't enlarge the photo to make the background because it would look blury so I find a lot of pictures and put it everywhere on the poster. I put the name of the movie big and clear in the middle of the poster so it would stand out.

I chose this layout for this calendar because the dates are very clear and you can put some pictures on it. I chose the color blue for the background because it look peaceful and it is also the color in the Australian flag. I also put some pictures of Australia on the calendar to advertise Australia. I wrote some words underneath the pictures to tell the audience what the picture is and i chose the color red because the color is also on the Australian flag.

Logo Homework

What makes a good logo?

_ I think what makes a good logo is that the logo is creative but also not too complicated. It should be simple and related to the business or organization. Like the logo below, it is very simple but it is creative. The name of the logo is "Push the bottle" and there is a bottle with a hand and a button inside. There are two ways to look at this logo, one is plainly just a bottle. Another way is a hand pushing the button. It looking like you are "pushing the bottle".

What makes a bad logo?

_ This is an example of a bad logo. This logo is horrible because it does not relate to the business or organization. The logo hurt your eyes or make you loose focus and don't know where to look. It doesn't look interesting. It doesn't tell the audience what the company or organization is about. The logo is also very distorting.

5 rules for making a good logo:

1) Creative - a logo should be creative because you want the logo to stand out and look different from the other logos.
2) Audience - you need to know who your audience is so you could make the logo suitable for the audience.
3) Simple - the logo should be simple because if it's too complicated then the audience won't remember it. But it also shouldn't be too simple.
4) Colors - you should choose colors that go together well so the logo would look better.
5) Design - the design should be related to the business or the thing that the logo is representing for.

6 Rules for Good Presentation

1. Keep consistency (layouts, fonts, size)
2. Choose backgrounds that relate to the topic.
3. Make the text creative and suitable for the audience.
4. Add pictures that relate to the topic (at least 1 picture for every slide).
5. Use bulletpoints to break down chunks of text.
6. Use creative layouts for the presentation.

Editing Photo

In ICT, we learnt how to edit photos and editing bitmap photos. One of the picture we did was The Statue of Liberty and Manhattan city in the background. For this photo, I duplicated the photo and made one of them black and white. I put the black and white layer on top of the original layer, and erase The Statue of Liberty to make it stand out.

Another picture that I edited was a picture of a car. I used the magic wand to erase everything except for the car and squished the car so it look smaller.  I edited the car so it look like a toy car. I also made another layer and made the background on the second layer. Then I put the first layer (which is the car) on top of the second layer (the background). The tools I used were the magic wand, the eraser, the select tool and the move tool.

Project 1 Review: Multimedia Presentation

These are the screen shots I took of my review presentation. I gave explanation about the things I've changed or chose for the slides.

I insert a video to slide 5 so the audience can know more about the element by watching the video from a professional. I have border for the video because I want the video to stand out.
